This was a really hard race to finish. There were 45 women that started this race and only about 25 finished the race due to a large crash at the beginning of the race in one of the many turns. I placed somewhere between 20th and 25th because there were a lot of women behind me who didn't even finish. However, I'm not really sure what place I got because they only posted the top 20 women. Downers Grove has 8 turns, one small climb and a long decent. It is the perfact kind of course for someone like me because I don't do as well on the climbs and can make up valueable time in the flats and decents. It was fun to race this course, I love it and will probably do it next year. I only wish that I could have done the women open race later that night, but I had to get home for work and another race the next day.
