Almost a Grim day for the Grimm's!

It started with Caylin talking in her crib at 7:ish AM. I went in picked her up gave her a couple of kisses handed her to Becky and started picking up some things from last night. Then for some reason Becky and I switched. I had Caylin in my arms going downstairs. Becky fell and I turned around screaming, Becky! I had my max H-Rate for the day and it wasn't riding a bike either. She was in so much pain and after a while she was upset she couldn't go to the race. I took Caylin over to my Mom's, because Becky needed to rest her back. It all worked out thanks to Mom. Becky is getting better faster than what I thought she would, Thank You Jesus!

Coming into this race I Knew I would be in serious trouble. Boy was I right! If it wasn't for Rish and Swain I would have quit the race. They handed me the win and I couldn't deliver! I tried hard to get away all day but had nothing.

The most amazing thing happend during this race. I don't know why it is so awesome I should be used to it by now. Anyway, Paul Martin towed everyone up to the 6 man break, sounds easy enough, but he did it for 2 laps while I was redlined the whole time on his wheel! Then 3 laps later he won the race!

Before the 2nd to last turn Dave and I shared elbows while I had someone else on my right giving me his. The guy on my right was following his teammate Dick Brink, Brink is getting stronger each year! After that turn I went on the right of Brink and Dave took Paul on the left. I followed a little to close to Paul and gave him a pretty big bump before the last turn. I should have followed Paul the whole way but I took the wind instead, and lost!

Thank you Lord for keeping me upright and everyone else as well, very blessed to even finish this race. Thanks again to Rish and Swain for making the long trip up, you guys are awesome!

25 miles of pain. I don't think my heart rate dropped below 170 the entire race. Congrats to Grimm on a second place finish and Ryan for attacking the field every other lap. Both of those guys are super strong and gearing up for this summer. Its going to be fun.
