Here we go, another day.
The day was quite uneventful. My race wasn't until 6pm so I slept in, ate, registered, and went for a nice easy ride.
The race was super fast, there were two technical corners and one small hill.
I stayed about 3/4 of the way back all day. I would move up to about 10th wheel and then I would look back to find myself all the way in the back. That happened a number of times. With three to go it was all together and I made a move towards the front. Going across the start/finish line with one to go I was third wheel, I thought I was going to rock it; then the pace slowed slightly and swoosh, two huge lines, one on either side flew by me. I have never been so swarmed in my life. I tried my best to fight my way back out, but only managed 25th. I was still happy with that placing, considering who was in the race.
Overall it was a good weekend and a learning experience. It is fun to race against these guys. There wasn't a single crash today, despite going through super tight turns three wide at 35 mph. They are so smooth and was a riot to race with them.
